Arthur Johnstone, headteacher

Arthur Johnstone was about forty when he was appointed to the Headship of Sibford. He arrived with his wife Jessie in 1930. 

Arthur Johnstone was headmaster at Sibford School. A former student recalls that a new teacher was horribly shocked when she heard her head saying "When I was in prison."
