John Simpson: the FAU in China

 [John Simpson] was in the Friends Ambulance Unit China Convoy. Many of them wrote books or their children have published them from letters etc. John published a book 'letters from China' based on letters he sent to his future wife, our mother. He describes his tribunals and preparations for going out to China. We still have copies of the book which should help you. Chapter 1 covers the tribunals plus dated press cuttings.
