Davies, Ithel, Cwmdonkin Terrace, Swansea, barrister, been a member of NCC, ILP, No More War Movement & PPU,  spent 3 years in prison as WW1 CO not released until 4/19, savagely beaten by sergeants  for 4 days in military prison, nose broken & still had marks on his body, was told 11 COs there before had given in, ‘torturers believed it was their duty to break COs’,Llewellyn Williams complained to Snowden, political & moral CO, war was power politics & ‘just murder & malicious destruction’ , a betrayal of all his principles, SW 30/11/42 unconditional, said Chinese should adopt non -resistance & appeal to Japanese,  at which the Judge exclaimed 'Rubbish 'Judge said he was ’grossly unfair to his own country ‘ & was lucky to live in a country which was so tolerant, Western Mail 1/12/42 p3, South Wales Daily Post 1/12/42 p3
